Questions
How do I work out square feet?
Multiply the length by the width, both in feet. A 7 × 5 ft rectangle is 35 sq ft. For an L-shaped room, split it into rectangles and add them up.
Do I include closets?
For flooring, yes, if the floor continues into them.
How much extra flooring?
10% for straight layouts, 15% for diagonal ones.
